Hanover, Md., April 20, 2023 – Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), the leading provider of global workforce solutions, was recently recognized by General Motors (GM) as a Supplier of the Year for the 11th time, as well as a recipient of GM’s first-ever Community Partnership Award.
The 2022 Supplier of the Year award acknowledges distinguished global suppliers that exceed GM’s requirements and support GM’s business goals. Suppliers of the Year are selected by an international, cross-functional team at GM. They evaluate each supplier’s performance from a variety of criteria, including supply chain, innovation and engineering, communication and transparency, total enterprise cost, and overall quality. This year, 105 companies from around the world received a Supplier of the Year award.
"We are thrilled to recognize these outstanding suppliers after yet another challenging year in the automotive industry," said Jeff Morrison, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "They overcame countless obstacles and exemplified what it means to be resilient, resourceful and determined. Beyond that, these suppliers demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation and to driving advanced solutions in collaboration with the GM team."
AGS Director of Client Delivery Julie Planko and AGS Program Executive Steve Hoffmann accepted the award on behalf of AGS at GM’s annual Supplier of the Year event in San Antonio in March.
“After more than two decades of partnership, I am extremely proud of our AGS team for this 11th Supplier of the Year award as they continue to be recognized for providing innovative and effective solutions for GM. Sustaining a collaborative and strategic relationship with our clients that delivers transformative and meaningful outcomes is at the core of what we do,” said AGS Vice President for North America Cory Hansen.
AGS was additionally recognized in December with the GM Community Partnership Award. As one of only three organizations to receive this award, AGS was honored for its work with the GM Student Corps Program, which provides six-week paid summer internships for metro Detroit, Flint and Pontiac high school students. The AGS team led several workshops on financial literacy, communication, post-high school planning and career opportunities and plans to continue its support of this impactful program this summer. AGS Program Operations Manager Lucien St. Gerard and team members Brenna (Walker) Tobiczyk, Amanda Magretta and Kaniz Chowdhury were on hand to accept the award.
“At AGS, we empower our people and partners to serve the communities where we work and live. This makes receiving the Community Partnership Award incredibly special as it not only shows the alignment of our core values with GM, but also provides us with an opportunity to support the community and help design a future workforce built for impact,” added Hansen.
