Hanover, Md., February 21, 2023 – Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), the leading provider of global workforce solutions, announces that four AGS executives have been named to the Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) Staffing 100 North America list for 2023.
Now in its twelfth year, SIA’s Staffing 100 honors industry leaders for their impact within their individual organizations and for advancing the workforce solutions industry at large. The following group of AGS leaders were recognized on this year’s list:
“Steve, Mark, Maria and Jessi have all inspired their teams at AGS to impact their customers, communities and each other through innovative solutions and a steadfast commitment to delivering excellence,” said Allegis Group CEO Jay Alvather. “I’m confident in their ability to lead AGS’ future of work initiatives through consultative solutions that accelerate our collective ability to win and dominate the industry.”
About the Honorees
Appointed president of AGS in 2022, Steve Schumacher brings over 25 years of experience in the workforce solutions industry. Over the last several years, Schumacher has worked effectively across AGS’ global teams to evolve how the company serves its clients through a consultative approach to workforce transformation. He is responsible for defining quality and operational excellence across AGS’ portfolio, and his strategic guidance has ensured client retention and portfolio growth globally. Schumacher played a pivotal role in AGS’ new world of work strategy, launched in 2020, which puts a strong focus on bringing greater value to clients in an agile and consultative way. This is the fifth time he has been named to SIA’s Staffing 100 North America list. Schumacher is also an active board member for several local community organizations, including the Baltimore Urban Debate League, The Severna Park Community Center and Young Life.
Mark Hagyard has served the network of organizations that comprise parent company Allegis Group for nearly 15 years and as AGS CFO since January 2017. In his current role, Hagyard leads the organization’s global financial operations, people strategy, human resource, risk mitigation/management and worktech design functions. His focus on continuous business evolution and solving problems through collaboration and innovation has positively impacted AGS’ growth. As a CFO, Hagyard demonstrates a strong balance of financial stewardship with a passionate commitment to building a strong company culture. As a people leader, he empowers and engages emerging leaders to be purpose-driven while prioritizing sound financial decision-making and delivering positive business results. Hagyard also serves on the board for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Maria Boyse, AGS vice president of North America business development, helped AGS build early success by winning contracts with several Fortune 100 and 500 companies. With a focus on driving new client wins and expanding AGS’ business development capabilities, Boyse led her team in 2022 to secure several major banking, technology and life sciences client wins; revamped an eight-week training program for new hires; and emphasized the benefits of cross-selling across product lines and upskilling employees to a greater level of success. Boyse has been with Allegis Group for over 18 years. She is a three-time honoree on SIA’s Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list and a two-time Staffing 100 North America honoree. In addition, Boyse is a member of the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, which addresses critical needs of women, children and families.
AGS Vice President of Client Delivery, Jessi Guenther oversees North America operations and delivery excellence. In her more than 25 years within Allegis Group, she has led global teams in recruiting; been instrumental in expanding AGS’ business into Canada, Europe, Asia and India; and helped develop the managed service provider (MSP) mid-market offering in North America. Most recently, Guenther led the team through a restructure to enhance service to clients and implemented a regional portfolio alignment program to enhance effective delivery and growth. Guenther is a two-time honoree on SIA’s Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list. She is an advocate and frequent speaker for women in leadership and business, including introducing the game of golf to women who strive for inclusion on the golf course.
“Despite a devastating pandemic, war overseas, global inflation and a constantly evolving world of work, the staffing industry not only recovered but grew substantially past pre-pandemic levels. Seeing how the industry achieved such success merely requires a look at the Staffing 100 North America, who faced and leapt high over those obstacles,” said Barry Asin, SIA president. “As we look ahead to an uncertain period, we salute those who guided the industry through an often turbulent 2022. Congratulations 2023 honorees!”
