For more than six years, a multinational food and beverage corporation has taken a holistic approach to workforce management by partnering with Allegis Global Solutions (AGS) as its total workforce solutions provider—first for regional recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) services in India, and then for a global managed service provider (MSP) programme.
Initially, the client partnered with multiple vendors, including AGS, for RPO services when it established a global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, India. At the onset of our partnership, AGS primarily assisted our client in sourcing leadership, finance and HR roles while also helping the company advance its overall workforce diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals. Later, when we became our client’s exclusive RPO provider in India, we supported their expansion in the region by opening a strategy and transformation centre in Gurgaon, India, focusing on technology roles.
Recognising our demonstrated RPO success in India, the client engaged AGS for our MSP solutions – including procurement/statement of work (SOW) services, technology implementation, rate card standardisation and onboarding improvements. With our guidance, the client eventually launched MSP programmes in the UK, North America and India.
Access to talent for a variety of skill sets in the full-time and contingent workforce was crucial for this client as they sought to strengthen their footprint – in India and beyond – with the help of a credible partner with demonstrable experience in driving technology talent strategies.
Through our RPO solutions, AGS delivered a thorough talent landscape analysis, including a targeted segmentation for strategic recruitment. This insight-driven approach streamlined our efforts, securing top-tier professionals—even within the competitive technology labour market, which as a food and beverage company, the client’s brand is not typically known for.
AGS implemented real-time reporting and dashboards for timely insights, as well as robust governance and control measures for more effective and efficient operations. Drawing talent from peer group companies, GCCs and consulting firms, AGS was able to curate a diverse, high-performing workforce for our client, with our total number of new hires in India alone expanding to more than 1,000 resources across a wide range of skills and job titles, including:
As our client’s global MSP partner, AGS first trained their team on the process, compliance and efficient use of the vendor management system (VMS). Further, we helped the client recognise how accepting more competitively sourced candidates allows more suppliers to compete, and thereby widen overall access to quality talent while also optimising their total cost of workforce.
The MSP programme enabled the client to focus on – and ultimately improve in – four key areas globally:
With a total talent solution in place, our client’s full workforce is built for impact. By establishing a robust RPO model, AGS ensured seamless decision-making when it came to hiring for the client’s GCC and strategy and transformation centres in India. We consistently met and exceeded key metrics on both speed and quality through structured intervention to achieve an 82% joining ratio and a decrease in average time to offer to 55 days. In addition to rapid hiring for a variety of full-time roles, AGS helped the client boost its gender diversity hiring with a diversity ratio of 45% throughout the course of the engagement.
Since the launch of the client’s MSP programme, there has been four-times growth in the number of SOWs under management – originally managing approximately 80 to 100 SOWs per month, to now managing about 80 to 100 SOWs per week – advancing the company toward cost optimisation and lowered risk.
Onboarding time improvements have also yielded cost savings, and the Net Promoter Scores (NPS) have shown significant improvement throughout the course of the MSP engagement. In terms of global staff augmentation, the programme’s total spend increased from $40.9 million in 2023 to $51.7 million in 2024; the average headcount jumped from 1,277 in 2023 to 2,198 in 2024; and starts skyrocketed from 263 in 2023 to 641 in 2024.
Overall, as its total workforce provider, AGS has developed a deeply rooted relationship with the client by successfully advising, sourcing and onboarding a wide range of skill sets; improving gender diverse hiring ratios; and delivering improvements that have positively impacted the client’s bottom line.
