Hanover, Md., November 10, 2022 – Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), the leading provider of global workforce solutions, announces today that Steve Schumacher has been named as its new president, effective immediately. As an experienced business leader who has served the network of organizations that comprise parent company Allegis Group for 27 years, Schumacher recently was AGS’ senior vice president of global operations and business development. He succeeds Chad Lane, who decided to leave Allegis Group after serving as AGS’ president since April 2010.
“With more than 25 years of experience in workforce solutions, Steve is an esteemed leader, trusted partner and respected strategic advisor,” said Allegis Group’s incoming CEO Jay Alvather, who currently serves as president of Allegis Group company TEKsystems and assumes his new role in January 2023. “Since walking through the doors of TEKsystems in 1995, Steve has served in multiple roles including operations, sales and executive leadership. This vast experience positions him best to boldly drive AGS’ successful future as a dominant force in the industry.”
Schumacher has worked effectively across AGS’ global teams to evolve how the company serves its clients through a consultative approach to workforce transformation. Most recently, he led the vision and strategy for AGS’ global operations and business development. Responsible for defining quality and operational excellence across AGS’ portfolio, Schumacher’s strategic guidance has ensured client retention and portfolio growth globally, accelerated talent development and continued the evolution of AGS’ services, earning the organization a Star Performer and Leader recognition on Everest Group’s Contingent Workforce Management/Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Services Procurement/Statement of Work PEAK Matrix® Assessments in 2022, as well as a Leader status on the analyst group’s Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) PEAK Matrix® Assessment the same year.
“It is an honor and privilege to be named as the leader of such an incredible, world-class organization,” said Schumacher. “I have immense gratitude to my mentor Chad Lane for his leadership that has strongly positioned AGS to unlock the potential of tomorrow’s workforce. My unwavering commitment is that the AGS team will continue to deliver excellence in serving our clients to achieve their goals.”
Frequently listed on SIA’s Staffing 100 North America list, Schumacher will continue to work from AGS’ Maryland headquarters. Outside of work, Schumacher has served since 2014 as a board member and vice chair for the Severna Park Community Center, a board member for Young Life and a board member for the Baltimore Urban Debate League since 2015. Schumacher resides in Anne Arundel County with his wife and two daughters.
