Hanover, Maryland, December 9, 2020 –
Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), the leading provider of global talent acquisition and workforce solutions, won first place for the “Best Approach to Health and Wellbeing” category at the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) Australia’s 2020 Awards for Excellence. The program celebrates outstanding achievements and best practices in the professional recruitment and staffing sector, and is a unique indicator of professional standards that APSCo embodies.
AGS won the top prize due to its creation and consistent updating of a resource-rich internal library featuring programs and tools designed to support employees across several key areas, including emotional, physical and nutritional, financial and intellectual wellbeing. AGS’ global employees registered for nearly 5,000 courses since the library launched, consuming over 40,000 hours’ worth of content. Such activity led to a 29% decrease in attrition (year-on-year basis) and helped fill 94% of open roles at AGS locations around the world.
“This win would not have been possible if not for the remarkable dedication of our People Strategy, Talent Development and Employee Resource Groups teams that provided the tools to educate, empower and support our people as we continue to navigate through these challenging times,” said Vice President of AGS APAC Sarah Wong. “I am proud of everything that they have done for the company, clients and, most importantly, for their teams.”
To celebrate the significant challenges the recruitment market saw and conquered in 2020, APSCo Australia created new award categories such as “Best Approach to Health and Wellbeing” that reflected the drastically altered market conditions and new ways of getting work done.
“As an industry body for the professional recruitment and staffing sector, it was important that we acknowledged the exceptional work our Members achieved this year, particularly at a time of such immense pressure,” said Lesley Horsburgh, managing director of APSCo Australia. “Health and wellbeing took centre stage during 2020 as the need to prioritise the wellbeing of employees, colleagues, clients and indeed candidates was exacerbated by the challenges of working from home, economic uncertainty and ongoing dramatic change. Allegis Global Solutions is clearly leading the way in health and wellbeing and represents the caliber of firms we are proud to have as members.”
APSCo Australia was formed in 2016 and is known as the association of choice for professional recruiters in Australia. It is a trusted advisor to many global companies and is gaining international recognition as a badge of quality for companies and candidates. APSCo operates in the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore and Australia.
